BMW M43 Keychain
This keychain is a faithful miniature of the BMW M43 four-cylinder head gasket. Introduced in 1991, the M43 replaced the M40 and deliberately relied on proven concepts: chain-driven camshaft instead of a timing belt, simple SOHC layout and a sturdy construction that made it a long-lasting everyday engine.
The M43 was fitted to many 1990s BMW models such as the E36 316i/318i, later also the E46 316i/318i and Compact. While the sportier 16-valve M42/M44 engines were offered in parallel, the M43 remained the dependable workhorse, known for its reliability, ease of maintenance and durability.
