The Mercedes M116 and M117 are among the most iconic V8 engines of the 1970s and ’80s. With displacements ranging from 3.5 to 5.6 liters, they powered the S-Class (W116, W126), the SL (R107), and the SEC (C126). These engines symbolize the durability, torque, and unmistakable soundtrack of the classic Mercedes V8 era.
