The BMW S65 is the high-revving naturally aspirated V8 powering the E90/E92/E93 M3 (2007–2013). Derived from the S85 V10 architecture, it forgoes turbocharging for razor-sharp response and revs. With 4.0 liters, about 309 kW (420 PS, US 414 hp) and a redline above 8,000 rpm, the S65 delivers motorsport character with everyday usability. The rare M3 GTS even used a 4.4‑liter evolution.
