The Mercedes M112 is the V6 that defined the late ’90s and early 2000s lineup. This 90° V6 with a balance shaft replaced many inline-six applications and powered countless models: C 240/C 320, E 240/E 320, CLK 320, SLK 320, ML 320/350, S 320 and even G 320. Displacements covered 2.4/2.6/2.8/3.2 up to 3.7 liters (M112 E24/E26/E28/E32/E37), with outputs roughly from 125 to 165 kW in NA trims—and far higher in the supercharged M112K used by C 32 AMG and SLK 32 AMG with an intercooler-equipped twin-screw blower.
