Keychain – Head Gasket for VW EA111 1.3 / G40
The EA111 1.3-liter engine was widely used in the 1980s and 1990s in the Polo, Golf II and Derby. The sportiest version, the G40 with G-Lader supercharger, made the Polo 2F GT G40 a genuine hot hatch with 113 hp. Our keychain captures the gasket of this engine in detailed miniature.
Specs: 1,272 cc, inline-four, OHC 8 valves, with carburetor and injection variants. In the G40, the G-Lader provided unique supercharged thrills in a compact package.
Known issues: G-Lader servicing, head gaskets, timing belts and oil supply. Properly maintained, a G40 is a true collector’s item today.
Within the scene, these engines are legendary—from Polo G40s to Golf II 1.3s and countless tuning projects squeezing everything from the small block.
