The Tritec “Pentagon” engine came from a BMW-Chrysler joint venture and powered early BMW MINIs (R50, R52, R53). With 1.4 and 1.6 liters, it ranged from the MINI One to the Cooper and the Cooper S with supercharger. Our keychain reproduces the gasket design of this era-defining engine in fine miniature.
Technical features: SOHC, 16 valves, multipoint injection, and in the R53 Cooper S, an Eaton supercharger pushing 163–218 hp. Long-tail: MINI R53, Eaton M45, Tritec 1.6, BMW-Chrysler cooperation.
