Keychain – Head Gasket for Nissan/Datsun L26 / L28
The Nissan/Datsun L26 and L28 are straight-six members of the legendary L engine family, most famous for powering the Z-cars. With 2.6 and 2.8 liters of displacement, they drove the 260Z, 280Z, and larger sedans and wagons. Our keychain reproduces their head-gasket outline in miniature—subtle to most, instantly meaningful to Z enthusiasts.
The L26 debuted in the 260Z in 1973, while the L28 appeared in the 280Z and later in the Maxima. Whether carbureted or fuel-injected, they produced 140–170 hp and delivered a uniquely smooth yet rev-happy feel. Popular upgrades include triple carburetors, cams, and ported heads, making them beloved for tuning and motorsport.
The L28ET turbo version turned the engine into a hidden weapon of the early ’80s, setting the stage for the VG-series. Today, L26/L28 motors are collector’s items, featured in resto-mods, track builds, and celebrated across Z clubs worldwide.
This keychain is more than an accessory—it’s a tribute to the golden Z era. A thoughtful gift for 260Z/280Z owners, or something to keep yourself if you love Nissan’s classic straight-six legacy. Minimal yet detailed, it’s an instant conversation starter among enthusiasts.
Proudly crafted in Germany, meticulously detailed and finely finished for a refined in-hand feel paired with a premium brushed surface.
