The VW VR5 20V is one of the most unusual production engines the brand ever released. With 2.3 litres of displacement, five cylinders in a tight 15° VR layout and a distinctive 20-valve head, it produces around 170 hp and a character all of its own. The AQN and AZX versions powered the Golf Mk4, Bora/Jetta, Passat B5, New Beetle and even the Seat Toledo II, making this engine a true connoisseur’s choice.
