The GM Ecotec L850 is one of those engines that defined an era. Launched in the early 2000s as a global inline-four, it powered Chevrolets, Opels, Saabs, Saturns, and many more GM brands worldwide. From Opel Vectra, Astra, and Zafira to Saab 9-3/9-5, Chevy Cobalt and Malibu, and Saturn Ion, the L850 was everywhere.
