BMW M40 Keychain
This keychain is a true-to-scale miniature of the BMW M40 four-cylinder head gasket. Introduced in 1987, the M40 replaced the legendary M10 and marked a milestone in BMW’s engine history: it was the first BMW four-cylinder to use a timing belt instead of a chain, offering a lighter and more compact design.
The M40 powered models such as the BMW E30 316i and 318i, and later appeared in the early E36 range. With smoother running and more modern engineering, it bridged the gap to BMW’s upcoming four-valve engines of the 1990s.
